Dementia Wristbands

BDAA is delighted to be involved in a great local initiative involving Avon Fire & Rescue and Avon & Somerset Police.

We are part-funding wristbands for people living with Dementia. These wristbands contain the contact number of their next of kin and can be scanned by anyone with a smart phone. We hope this will help people who are alone, lost or confused to be reunited with their loved ones quickly. No other personal details are contained on the wristband.

You can order your wristband in two ways –

Arrange a home safety visit with Avon Fire & Rescue. The wristband is then given as part of the visit. Alternatively, you can order one without the visit:

https://www.avonfire.gov.uk/our-services/home-fire-safety-visits

Text – ‘visit’ to 07507 319 694

Or call 0117 926 2061

Avon & Somerset Police has 2000 hi-tech wristbands which help safeguard people with Dementia.

These wristbands are free and can be obtained by completing
the Dementia Safeguarding/Herbert Protocol document by clicking on this link:
